Imagery

Definition: Imagery is a collection of images, it uses details and descriptions in order to create a sensory experience for the reader, to describe ideas or situations.

Example: 
I look up onto the sky
Wonder how the ocean would look like
From up there
Would it look like
A blue blanket over the sand
Or it would look like
An ocean from an airplane

Significant: The usage of imagery is very important in poetry because the readers can visualize and understand the poem better. The readers can visualize the image, smell, sound, taste of the object being described in the poems better using imagery.
